VideoPost AI is a video automation platform: it researches a subject, writes an original script from what it found, builds every scene, narrates and renders the video, and publishes it to your channels on a schedule — with your own AI provider keys on the bill.
Most AI video tools stop at the clip. A channel that actually publishes needs the stages either side of that: finding something worth making a video about, checking that what the script says is true, getting the length right, and putting the result on a platform at the right time. Those stages are where the work is, and they are the ones VideoPost AI exists to automate. The generation step in the middle is the part we happily let somebody else’s model do — which is why you choose the model and pay for it directly.
WHERE WE STAND
Each of these is a decision with a cost attached, not a slogan.
VideoPost AI connects to the AI providers you already pay — OpenRouter, OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, ElevenLabs. Your usage is billed to your account at their price. We do not resell model access as credits with a margin on top, which means we have no reason to prefer an expensive model over a cheap one on your behalf.
The Free route uses no-cost models, and a video produced that way costs nothing in AI spend. It is slower and it fails more often than paid routing, because free model capacity is shared and busy. That is a real trade-off and the product says so rather than hiding it behind a spinner.
Alongside the hosted plans there is a lifetime licence you can run on your own server, in Docker, on a VPS or on the desktop. On a self-hosted installation your keys, your media and your finished videos sit on infrastructure you control and we cannot see them.
Before a video can reach a channel it is checked for originality, for whether its claims are grounded in the sources that were researched, for whether each scene’s visuals match what is being said, and for whether it runs to the length that was asked for. A video that fails is held for review rather than posted.
Each AI call is written down with its real cost, per video and per provider, and shown to you. A tool that spends your money on your behalf while you sleep has an obligation to show you exactly what it spent.
Research, scripting, narration, visuals, rendering, scheduling and publishing are one pipeline with recoverable stages, not a set of features you operate by hand. A run that fails at a stage can be repaired and resumed at that stage instead of started again.
WHAT IT IS NOT
If one of these is your requirement, a different tool will serve you better.
VideoPost AI makes faceless videos — narration over footage, graphics and generated visuals. If you need an avatar or a person presenting, an avatar platform is the right tool and we will say so.
You can regenerate a scene, swap its media, change the narration and re-render, or download the file and edit it elsewhere. What there is not is a timeline to sit in. If hands-on editing is the centre of your work, an editor is a better purchase.
Bringing your own keys is the reason the economics work, and it is also a setup step other products do not ask for. Cloud plans reduce it to connecting an account; there is no version where we pretend the AI is free because it is bundled.
